Natividad Verdejo, M.D.
Dr. Natividad Verdejo is affiliated with most of the local hospitals in the East Valley including Banner Baywood Medical Center. She specialized in Family Medicine. She graduated with honors from The University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus and received her medical degree from The University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine. She has been practicing for over 30 years.
Dr. Verdejo is also fluent in Spanish. She is a published author, writing fiction novels, and has received a literary award in the Annual Contest of Spanish Department, UPR. In addition, Dr. Verdejo has been involved in scientific research and is actively involved in patient education, community programs, and healthcare student mentorship.
Dr. Verdejo accepts most major private health insurances, as well as Medicare and AHCCCS.
Qingwei (Wayne) Liu, PA-C
Qingwei (Wayne) graduated from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2018 with his Master of Physician Assistant Studies. He enjoys been providing long-term, comprehensive care to patients, especially in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases. Wayne has a multifaceted background. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Peking University in China and received a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Before discovering his passion for the medical field, he worked as a medical imaging research scientist and now has over 20 academic journal publications.
Wayne is also fluent in Mandarin. He is energetic, warm hearted, and full of enthusiasm and passion. He has received consistent high ratings and compliments from his patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his 7-year-old boy and playing soccer and basketball.
James Edmond Jr., PA-C
James is one of the pioneers in the physician assistant field and has been practicing since 1975. His healthcare experience is diverse as he worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for 20 years, worked in open heart surgeries for three years, did missionary work for 16 years, and provided medical services to primitive tribal people in Colombia for 10 years.
James has completed five thousand hours of study in Guajibo language and culture. He speaks both Guajibo and Spanish. He has received several language awards and a Special Act award for performing CPR on a staff member. He was also voted Physician Assistant of the Year in 2018 by his peers. James enjoys helping people achieve the health they deserve.
